Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of pipingtoolset.com and its calculators, tools, and subscriptions, operated by Flexible Piping Solutions LLC, doing business as Piping Toolset ("we", "us"). By using the service you accept them. Effective 2026-07-20.
1. What the service is — and is not
Piping Toolset provides browser-based engineering calculators, design tools, and report tooling. It is an engineering-aid tool, not an engineering service: we are not your engineer, no professional-engineer/client relationship is created, and nothing produced by the service is a sealed, reviewed, or certified engineering deliverable.
2. Free tier, subscriptions, and commissioning features
The calculators are free and require no account. Paid subscriptions (Pro and Pro Plus) unlock capture, reporting, and premium toolsets as described at purchase. Features labeled commissioning, preview, or beta (for example PiperFEA while its validation gates are being closed) are provided as-is, may be incomplete or unavailable, and carry no availability commitment until that label is removed. We may add, change, or retire features; if a change materially removes something you paid for, you may cancel and we will not renew you into it.
3. Billing
- Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted checkout; subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annual) until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime via the Stripe customer portal (linked from your receipt email); cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, which you keep in full.
- Except where required by law, partial-period refunds are not provided; if something went wrong, email us and we will make it right case by case.
- Price changes apply from your next renewal, with notice before they do. Taxes are calculated at checkout where applicable.
4. Accounts
Accounts use passwordless email sign-in; keep control of that mailbox, since anyone reading it can access your account. A subscription is for one person; a shared or resold login is a breach of these terms. You are responsible for activity under your account.
5. Your content
Projects and drawings you create are yours. For content you choose to store or share via the cloud features, you grant us the limited license needed to host and serve it (including to holders of share links you create) until you delete it. Local files and calculations never reach us — see the privacy policy.
6. Intellectual property and data licensing
- The service, its software, content, and generated page material are our intellectual property; we grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use them through the service.
- Embedded ASME-derived data (e.g. BPE DT-4.1 fitting dimensions) ships under written ASME authorization covering commercial distribution — per our source & citation policy. You may use it within the app for your engineering work; you may not extract, scrape, bulk-export, redistribute, or use it to build datasets or competing products.
- All other standards values (allowable stresses, quality factors, and similar) are supplied by you from your own licensed copies of the governing documents.
- ASME, API, NEMA, and other referenced marks belong to their owners; Piping Toolset is an independent product and its use of these references implies no affiliation or endorsement.
7. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful use, no circumventing subscription gating or share-token access controls, no automated scraping or bulk harvesting, no probing or disrupting the infrastructure, and no reselling access.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our validation methodology is published and real, but it verifies the implementation against its documented method; it is not a warranty that results fit your design (see section 1).
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business, arising from the service; and our total aggregate liability is capped at the greater of US $50 or the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms. Sections 1 and 5–9 survive termination.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Missouri, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms plus the privacy policy are the entire agreement between us about the service. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
